“I created OUTstanding in Business because I want to enable LGBT business leaders to be themselves both inside and outside their professional working environment. I believe that authentic leadership is what helps cultivate the right culture within companies helping them to achieve their business goals and improve the bottom line. There are other LGBT business networks which are very good but this is the first time anyone has ever focused on LGBT executives across multiple industries. I also recognise that gender diversity at board level is a hot topic and I want to encourage the debate around extending this to LGBT diversity. It should be just as important. Finally, OUTstanding in Business is about inspiring future business leaders who would be considered different whether they are LGBT or not”
