An exciting EMpower announcement
EMpower Ethnic Minority Lists 2019 to be supported by Yahoo Finance, with annual EMpower Gala Dinner to be sponsored by O2 and hosted by June Sarpong

We are delighted to today announce that the EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Model Lists 2019 will be supported by Yahoo Finance.

As one of the largest online finance platforms in the world, Yahoo Finance reaches nearly 100m visitors per month globally* and being a part of the Verizon family, has the biggest audience that we have ever had the ability to reach with our EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Models Lists.

Yahoo Finance themselves have diversity and inclusion in their DNA, and their increasingly inclusive coverage and content – including new series ‘Change Agents with Lianna Brinded’ – perfectly aligns with the vision we have at INvolve for drawing attention to the amazing achievements of diverse talent in business. Having a media partner that puts diversity and inclusion at the forefront of everything they do is crucial to us and we are thrilled to be able to work with an organisation of Yahoo Finance’s size to further showcase the incredible work of our fantastic Role Models.

To celebrate the launch of the lists this year, we will be hosting our second annual EMpower Gala Dinner, on June 6th at The Underglobe, London – and are thrilled to announce that it will be supported by O2. The mobile network operator is committed to continue driving forward its diversity and inclusion agenda and will also be joining our network as INvolve Partners in the UK. O2 has always had a strong focus on celebrating the diversity of its people, creating a culture at work where people feel valued and can be themselves, and we are incredibly pleased to have their support.

We are also delighted to announce that we have the phenomenal June Sarpong MBE hosting our EMpower Gala Dinner this year. June Sarpong MBE has led a 20-year career, in which she has become one of the most recognisable faces of British television. After starting on Channel 4’s T4, she became a household name. June works extensively in charity and has been a longstanding Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust for the past 10 years. June is also a world leading diversity expert and award-winning author of ‘Diversify: Six Degrees of Integration’ and ‘The Power of Women’. ‘Diversify’ is an intelligent and empowering polemic which argues the case for the social, moral and economic benefits of diversity, whilst also exploring how limited we are by social division thus inspiring us to make a change. June is currently a weekly hosts the popular current affairs show ‘The Pledge’ on SkyNews.
